The name Morning in Butter comes from the soft, cozy, buttery-yellow light that fills the morning, the simple moment that feel like a fresh start.
I grew up in Hong Kong, a food paradise where love is expressed through sharing meals—whether it's dim sum with family, a warm pineapple bun from the corner bakery, or milk tea on a busy afternoon. Those moments taught me that the vessels we use matter just as much as what fills them.
Now, I create ceramics that honor that same care: pieces made to hold the food and drinks we share with the people we love. Whether it's a mug for your morning coffee, a bowl for matcha, or a vase that brings a bit of nature inside, I hope they'll find a happy home with you.
When I’m not shaping clay, I spend my time creating play-based learning materials for educators, gardening, baking, or hosting cozy cooking nights with friends.
If you read until here, thank you very much. This means the world to me, and I’m excited to share my work with you.
